InfoPath in SharePoint. Problem ‘Requested registry access is not allowed.’

In InfoPath, I successfully published the template in remote SharePoint as docmument library. But when creating new Form, it gave me the error ‘Requested registry access is not allowed.’. After googling I found the error was because of insufficient permissions to ‘WSS_ADMIN_WP’ and ‘WSS_WPG’. But I was getting error even they had sufficients previlages. So, again after some googling I found the cause and solution. Here we go.

CAUSE:

Insufficient permissions for the groups WSS_WPG and WSS_ADMIN_WPG to the Registry. The application pool identity for your WSS/MOSS sites MUST be in the “Distributed COM Users” group in order to successfully activate.

RESOLUTION:

Give group WSS_WPG Read permissions to following registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Office Server\12.0. Give group WSS_ADMIN_WPG Full permissions to the same registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Office Server\12.0 We added application pool Account (“dcomcnfg.exe”) to the Distributed users. Reboot the server.
